Mario Fehr

Mario Fehr (* September 13, 1958 in Zurich, hometown entitled Knives and Küsnacht ) is a Swiss politician (SP).

Life

Mario Fehr studied law. He was a member of the local council in the Zurich suburb of Knives from 1986 to 1994 and since 1994 the city council and department head for the areas of youth, leisure and sport. In the fall of 2009, he announced his resignation from the City Council Adliswil the end of January 2010. He sat from 1991 to 2000 in the canton of Zurich Parliament and was from 2000 to 2005 Zurich Constitutional Council. Since the Swiss Parliament elections in 1999 up to the 2011 elections, he was a National, where he was President of the Parliamentary Group for Tibet.

On 3 April 2011 he was elected to succeed Markus Notter with 137'035 votes ( the best result of all candidates) in the Zurich Cantonal Government, where he took over the Security Directorate.

From 1992 to 2008 Fehr teacher was at the Technical Vocational School Zurich. From 2006 to 2011 he presided over the KV Switzerland.
