Mario Maek

Mario Maek ( born November 14, 1964) is a former German football player. The father of Kevin Maek acted in his career for the BFC Dynamo and the first FC Union Berlin.

Career

Mario Maek dates back to the junior level of BFC Dynamo, for which he went through all the youth teams from 1973. In the U -21 national team of the GDR Maek was called six times. Mid-eighties, the defender managed to jump into the league of the East German record champion squad, with whom he four times to import the DDR Championship 1984-1987. The finale of the fdgb Cup 1984, and in 1985 he reached twice defeated in both finals of SG Dynamo Dresden.

Following Maek was active unterklassig at Union 06 Berlin, returned from 1995 back to BFC Dynamo. When BFC Maek served until 2002 in various roles as an assistant coach, trainer and manager. In the aftermath Maek acted as coach of Sparta unterklassigen SV Lichtenberg and as Altliga player while Weißenseer FC.
