Mario Sara (born 21 February 1982) is an Austrian football player. His father is the former Austria- player Josef Sara, his uncle, the former national team captain Robert Sara.

Career

He began his career in the youth of Austria Vienna. In 2001 he came to FC Tirol, with whom he was Austrian champion in 2002 and it even came two appearances.

He then moved in 2002 for two years to FC Lustenau 07, 2004 until he went to SC Rheindorf Altach, where he managed the championship title in the 2005/06 season in the second class first division and thus promotion to the Bundesliga. In May 2006, Mario Sara moved to SK Rapid Wien. Called attention to himself Sara in the league primarily for his dangerous free kicks with his left foot.
