Mario Serandrei

Mario Serandrei (* May 23, 1907 in Naples, † April 17, 1966 in Rome ) was an Italian film editor.

Life

Serandrei began his film career in 1931 as assistant director, but gained greatest fame through more than 200 films for which he took over the editing. He also worked as a scriptwriter and Giorni di gloria 1945 as director. Serandrei should have used the term neo-realism in the first cinematic context for Luchino Visconti film " Ossessione ".
