Mario Alberto Yepes Díaz ( born January 13, 1976 in Cali ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with Atalanta Bergamo since July 2013.

Career

The central defender Yepes started his professional career in his home country at Deportivo Cali and in 1999 the Argentinean giants River Plate Buenos Aires. In 2002 he went to Europe for French club FC Nantes where he immediately became a regular player. In 2004 he moved to France to FC Paris Saint- Germain, where he had a contract until the summer of 2008. He then moved free transfer to Chievo Verona in Italy, where he initially signed a one year contract, which he extended for another year 2009.

In 2010, his team-mate Sergio Pellissier the rumor that Yepes would change after the expiration of his contract at AC Milan. In July 2010, Yepes signed a contract with AC Milan.
