Marion County (Georgia)

The Marion County is a county located in the state of Georgia in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Buena Vista, named after a battle in the Mexican War of 1847.

Geography

The County is located in western Georgia, about 40 km from the border with Alabama and has an area of 952 square kilometers, which is a square kilometers of water surface, and borders clockwise to the following counties: Taylor County, Schley County, Webster County, Stewart County, Chattahoochee County and Talbot County.

History
