Marion Isbert

Marion Isbert ( born February 25, 1964 in Vallendar, born Feiden ) is a former German football national team.

Life

Marion Isberts career started as a striker at TuS Ahrbach, with whom she in 1989, the final of the German Cup and reached scorers was. A year later, she missed with her team to qualify for the new Bundesliga. Then she moved together with Jutta Nardenbach TSV Siegen, with whom she was German champion in 1991 and 1992 and also reached the final of the DFB Cup.

Isbert participated in the first official international match of the DFB women ever on November 10, 1982 against Switzerland in part. Height of her career was the semifinals of the European Championship 1989. On penalties against Italy they initially held three penalties before they personally scored the winning. 1989 and 1991 she became European Champion. Also in 1991, she participated in the first World Cup, finishing with her team to fourth place. The " small final " against Sweden was also their last international match. She lost her regular place as a goalkeeper in the starting eleven of the national team for which they played 58 matches, Silke Rottenberg.

Since the summer of 2008 Isbert coached numerous junior teams of the sports club 1936 Niederwerth eV, currently she is active in the old men's team, thus ensuring a novelty at the German Football Association.
