Marion Township is one of twelve townships of Allen County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 2872 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Marion Township is located in the extreme northwest of the Allen County in northwest Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Jennings Township and Sugarcreek Township, Putnam County, Sugar Creek Township, American Township, Amanda Township, Spencer Township (Allen County, Ohio) and in Van Wert County to the Jennings Township and Washington Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
