Marion Verbruggen

Marion Verbruggen ( born 1950 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch recorder player.

Life

Even as a child learned Marion Verbruggen their instrument. She studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Frans Bruggen there. You won the International Recorder Competition in Bruges, 1973 Nicolai Prize for the interpretation of contemporary Dutch music. and 1979 Erwin Bodky Competition for Early Music.

Even the cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach transcribed for the recorder. She has performed throughout Europe, in North America, Asia and Australia and is famous for its vibrant and compelling interpretations. Your ensemble partners have included Gustav Leonhardt, Ton Koopman, Bob van Asperen, Jacques Ogg, Wieland Kuijken, Lucy van Dael. Even with the groups Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Musica Antiqua Köln and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment they occurred.

Marion Verbruggen is a teacher at the Conservatory of Utrecht and gives master classes worldwide.
