Geography
Location
It is located in the eastern center of the department of Lavalleja in its sector 8 near the border with Nachbardepartamento Maldonado. It is located south of Cuchilla del Águila and the Arroyo Sarandi and north of the Arroyo Calera.

History
Originally founded by resident landowners Cándido N. Cal in 1910 under the name 19 de Abril sat in the vernacular of today's name by, under the was known of the area.

Sports
The local football field Complejo Deportivo " Eugenio Perdomo " has two grandstands with separate entrances. The complex has a capacity of about 2,000 spectators.
