Marita Ulvskog

Marita Ulvskog ( born September 4, 1951 in Luleå ) is a Swedish politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party ( SAP).

Ulvskog studied at the School of Journalism in Stockholm and worked on successful completion as a reporter and journalist, including for several newspapers and local radio. From 1990 to 1994 she was editor in chief and responsible editor of appearing in Falun newspaper Dala- Democrats. During this time she was from 1982 to 1990 worked as a press secretary and political adviser of Ingvar Carlsson, who rose to become prime minister later. This Ulvskog appointed in 1994 as Minister for the Public Service, she was Göran Persson 1996 Minister of Culture, this office she held until 2004, after which it was party secretary of the SAP. From 1998 to 2009, she also was a member of the Riksdag. In 2009 she moved to the European Parliament.
