Marius Nizolius

Mario Nizolio, latin Marius Nizolius (* 1498 in Brescello, † 1576 in Sabbioneta ) was an Italian philosopher and humanist.

Biography

Nizolio taught at the Universities of Parma and Sabbioneta. He became famous for his " Thesaurus Ciceronianus ", a widely read defense and Cicero characteristics, the first time in 1553 under the title " contra De veris Principiis et vera ratione philosophandi pseudo philosophos " appeared in the 17th century under the title " Antibarbarus Philosophicus " by his great admirer of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz with its own preface provided has been reissued twice.
