Mark Aguirre

Mark Anthony Aguirre ( born December 10, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois ) is a retired American professional basketball player. Between 1981 and 1994 he played in the NBA, among others, for the Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.

After a successful college career Aguirre was selected in the 1981 NBA Draft as the first pick of the Mavericks. The Mavericks Rolando Blackman next Aguirre was the best player on the team. A total of three times he was called to the NBA All -Star Game ( 1984, 1987 and 1988). In 1989 he moved in exchange for Adrian Dantley to the Detroit Pistons. As part of the legendary 'Bad Boys' Aguirre won with stars such as Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman, the NBA championships in 1989 and 1990. A year after he had moved to the Los Angeles Clippers in 1993, Aguirre finished his NBA career.
