Mark Chung (musician)

Mark Chung ( born June 3, 1957 in Leeds, England ) is a German musician and music publishers. He is best known as the bassist of the group Einstürzende Neubauten.

Chung is the son of a Chinese doctor and a German nurse. He grew up in England, Jamaica and Germany. From 1980 he played with the band Down ( Hamburg) bass until he was early 1982, bassist of the band Einstürzende Neubauten (Berlin). Chung has left Einstürzende Neubauten after the recording of the album Faust music in 1994 and focused on his work in the music industry.

Chung founded in 1984 a music publishing Freibank Music Publishing. The copyrights of Einstürzende Neubauten and now many other artists are perceived by the Free Bank Music Publishing. In 1996 he moved to London as a Senior Vice President of Sony Music Entertainment International. In 2005, Mark Chung, returned after nine years at Sony, according to Germany in the management of free bank and opened a second branch in Berlin. Mark Chung was from 2006 to 2012 also chairman of the VUT association of independent music companies, music publishers and music producers and gGmbH music since 2007 Member of the Supervisory Board of the initiative.

Mark Chung is married, has two sons and a daughter.
