Mark (designation)
Mark or M or Mk followed by a number in product descriptions gives information about the stage of development of the product. The term derives from the English word mark within the meaning of ( progress ) tag. Often, the additive is used only in the second version of a product, unless it can be anticipated that there will be other versions. The aim is to transfer the trust in an established brand after the end of the product life cycle to the new product.
