Mark Gordon

Mark N. Gordon ( born October 10, 1956 in Newport News, Virginia) is an American film producer and president of the Producers Guild of America.

Life

Gordon studied at the Tisch School of the Arts, one of 15 universities that are associated with New York University. He began his career as a producer in the 1980s with films such as How to Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days. Previously, he was involved in more than 70 productions. Among his most greatest successes as a producer is one of the film Saving Private Ryan, for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Film in 1999.

In the 2000s, Gordon also turned to television. He was and is involved as an executive producer on several shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Army Wives, and Private Practice. In addition, he contributed to several television films.

Gordon was married from 1997 to 2003 with Karen Villeneuve. Since 2011 he performs a marriage to Sally Whitehill.
