Mark Hylton (athlete)

Mark Hylton ( Mark David Hylton; * September 24, 1976 in Slough ) is a former British sprinter who specialized route was the 400 -meter run.

Had the U23 European champion from 1997 its biggest single success in the hall where he was from 1995 to 1997 English champion. He was fifth at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Lisbon in 2001.

In the 4 x 400 - meter relay, he was at the World Athletics Championships 1995 on the British team, which came in fourth place. In each case he received a silver medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and at the 1997 World Championships in Athens, even if it was used in both tournaments only in the flow.

In 1998 he won silver in Final inserts with the English relay at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur and silver with the British relay at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest. 2002 was followed by a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, where he was leading up to the English quartet.

Mark Hylton started for Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow Athletic Club.
