Mark Hylton (darts player)

Mark Hylton (* May 30, 1966 ) is an English darts player, who is currently in the PDC under contract.

Career

Hylton has been playing darts for over 30 years and has long played in the Super League, where he completed more than 80 missions for Staffordshire.

In 1997, he reached the second round of the first British Classic, where he lost to Phil Taylor. In 2005, he was the qualification of Staffordshire for the World Championship qualification for the Winmau World Masters and the English national championships, where he again reached the Round of 16.

Hylton made ​​his first appearance in front of cameras as an amateur qualifier at the UK Open 2007. During the qualifying round he beat Ray Carver and he lost to Mark Robinson.

Careers at the PDC

In 2010 he joined the PDC. Although he could not qualify for the UK Open in 2010, he reached the final of the PDC Pro Tour events in Australia, where he lost to Dennis Priestley in the Round of 16. In addition to his efforts in the PDC, he won 13 open tournaments, including the Border Classis.

Also for the Grand Slam of Darts 2010, he failed to qualify, as he was able to prevail against a field of more than 250 darts players and won one of four Wildcards. However, the Grand Slam he lost all three group games against Gary Anderson, Mark Webster and Wayne Jones.

In 2011 he was allowed to participate for the first time at the World Championship PDC, as a top 16 players who were not set. In the first round he could beat Steve Beaton 3-2 and also in the second round he beat former world number one Colin Lloyd 4-2. In the second round however, he was then defeated 1-4 by Mark Webster. Because of this strength in the World Cup and his good second half of the season given the title New PDC Player of the Year Award was awarded in 2011.
