Mark Ingram, Jr.

Mark Ingram Jr. ( born December 21, 1989 in Hackensack, New Jersey) is an American professional American football player.

He played from 2008 as a halfback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, the college football team of the University of Alabama in the Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA). In the 2009/2010 season he won with the team the championship of the Southeastern Conference and a win in the BCS National Championship game and the national championship. In addition, he received in December 2009, the Heisman Trophy for the best college football player. He reached it 's closest distance to the second -placed player since the first award the Heisman Trophy in 1935. Moreover, he was the first player in the history of the University of Alabama, said this award.

Mark Ingram studied political science as a major subject. In the draft of the National Football League ( NFL) he was late April 2011, selected as 28 players from the New Orleans Saints. His father Mark Ingram senior played from 1987 to 1992 as a wide receiver for the New York Giants, with whom he won the 1991 Super Bowl XXV, and later for the Miami Dolphins (1993 /1994), the Green Bay Packers (1995) and the Philadelphia Eagles (1996 ) in the NFL.
