Mark Katic

Mark Katic ( born May 9, 1989 in Porcupine, Ontario ) is a Croatian- Canadian professional ice hockey player who. Since June 2013 when KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Kontinental Hockey League under contract.

Career

Mark Katic began his career as a hockey player with the Sarnia Sting, for which he was active from 2005 to 2009 in the Canadian top junior league Ontario Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 in the third round than a total of 62 players from the New York Islanders. From 2009 to 2012, the defenders ran on as regular players for their farm team in Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. For the Islanders, he only came to 11 missions in the National Hockey League during the season 2010/11.

For the 2012/13 season Katic has been committed by the Polar Bear Berlin from the German Hockey League.

Internationally

For Canada Katic took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2007.
