Mark Landin

Mark Landin is a municipality in the district Uckermark in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office or catfish based in Pinnow.

The municipality was created on 31 December 2001 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities Grünow, Landin and Schönermark.

Geography

The municipality Mark Landin is located between the cities Uckermark Schwedt / Oder, Prenzlau and Angermuende. Characteristic of the ground moraine are the numerous lakes in the valleys, of which the Landiner house lake and nature reserve Felchowsee are emphasized. The Landiner ditch drains a portion of the lakes for catfish ( a left or Creek ). The land falls away to Welsebruch about 40 meters to the west of the church. The municipal area is characterized by vast agricultural cropland and the Landiner wind farm.

Community structure

In addition to the districts Grünow, Schönermark and Landin consisting of the living quarters low and Hohenlandin the residential places Augustenhof and July woods belong to the community.

History

By the Treaty of Landin from 1250, considered the birth of the Uckermark, Landin went down in history. The contract also provides the first documentary mention of the place.

1860-1861 the Hohenlandin ( " Warburg House " ) Castle was commissioned by the Baron built by Warburg in the Tudor style (architect Ferdinand Neubarth ). These included a park - designed by the Director General of the Prussian royal gardens, Peter Joseph - as well as forest and fields.

In 1945 the castle was confiscated without compensation and has been empty since 1977. Since then, it has fallen into ruin. The community holds with ABM and volunteer doing the environment of the castle ruins in income and looking for an investor. ,

From 1905 to 1972 drove the circular path Schönermark - Damme of Schönermark to Mesilla, New to 1995 to Damme.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 19 August 2004.

Blazon: "In the split front plate in silver on the slit half a gold - reinforced red eagle with golden Kleebattstengel; geschacht rear black - silver (2 x split, divided 6 x ). "

The community leads the coat of arms and the flag of the formerly independent municipality Schönermark. This was confirmed in 1987 for the 700th anniversary celebration and entered in the coat of arms role. It is decorated in the colors red, silver, gold and black, the red eagle marks the place Schönermark as belonging to Brandenburg, the checkerboard pattern is found in the built church in 1250.

Flag

The flag of the municipality is: in suspension on a cross of wood - from two longitudinal stripes in the colors red and white with the placed on the seam coat of arms.

In the list of monuments in Mark Landin are registered in the list of monuments of the country Brandenburg monuments.

Economy and infrastructure

In addition to farms since 1991 by the Society for contaminated machining Schönermark mbH in the community resident who is engaged in, among other things with the site clearance area of military training areas and former ammunition institutions as well as the investigation and clearance of munitions and ordnance.

Transport links

By Mark Landin the railway line from Schwedt / Oder leads to Angermuende ( the breakpoint low Landin, however, since the mid- 1990s, closed) and the railway line Berlin -Stettin ( the Schönermark station was decommissioned in 1996 ). In the south of the community completed in 2004, new federal highway 2, which was mutually created two-lane passes.
