Mark Reynolds (sailor)

Mark Reynolds ( born November 2, 1955) is a former American sailor.

Mark Reynolds from the San Diego Yacht Club began his international career in the Snipe class, where he won gold at the 1979 Pan -American Games and at the Kieler Woche. As a coach, served his father Jim Reynolds, who belonged to the world champion crew of Dennis Conner in 1971. His greatest successes he achieved with the star. 1986, 2000 and 2002, he won at during Kiel Week and 1986 at the Goodwill Games. Greatest success was winning the silver medal at the Summer Olympics in 1988 in Seoul, with Harold Haenel and the gold medal in Barcelona in 1992 again with Haenel and again in 2000 with Magnus Liljedahl in Sydney. Only in 1996 the Games in his home country in Atlanta missed the sailors from San Diego eighth medal.
