Mark Stuart (ice hockey)

Mark Daniel Stuart (* April 27, 1984 in Rochester, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who jets from the National Hockey League has since July 2011 in Winnipeg under contract.

Career

The 1.85 m tall defender played for the Rochester Mustangs in the U.S. Junior League USHL, then he moved to the funding of the National Hockey Association USA Hockey. During his studies of the links Sagittarius stood for the team at the Colorado College in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, a league game in the operation of the NCAA, on the ice. With the University of Stuart reached once the "Frozen Four", the final round of the championship of the NCAA, there lost the " Tigers", however, against the rivals and eventual champions, the University of Denver. First, the defender was mainly used for the Providence Bruins, the Boston farm team in the American Hockey League, a knee injury prevented the Americans in the following season on getting more ice age in the NHL. The season 2007/ 08 Stuart spent exclusively with the Boston Bruins, where in 2008 he signed a new contract. In February 2011, he was discharged in a transfer business to the Atlanta Thrashers.

Internationally

After good performances in the 2007/ 08 season Mark Stuart was appointed to the squad of the U.S. national team for the World Cup 2008. During the tournament, the defender acted as assistant captain of "Team USA". Previously, Stuart had already denied the finals in 2003 and had become with the Americans in 2004 U20 Junior World Champion.
