Mark Webster (darts player)
Mark Webster ( born August 12, 1983 in St Asaph, Denbighshire ) is a Welsh darts player left-handed.
He could begin his professional career in 2007 through a sponsorship deal with Winmau. In January 2008 he became world champion of the BDO against Australian Simon Whitlock 7-5. and in February 2009 he moved to competitors Association PDC, where he reached the semi-finals at the World Cup 2010, which he lost to Phil Taylor 6-0. In the 3rd place match to Webster prevailed 10-8 in legs against Raymond van Barneveld. In the PDC World Darts Championship 2011, he defeated Taylor in the quarter-finals with 5-2. The semi-final he lost 6-4 against Adrian Lewis, which could later claim the championship.
He is currently ranked No. 26 of the Order of Merit.
His nickname is Spider and his running- music is The Bartender And The Thief by Stereophonics.
