Mark Zabel

Mark Zabel ( born August 12, 1973 in calbe (Saale ), German Democratic Republic ) is a former German canoeist.

Zabel began his career at TSG calbe and then moved to SC Magdeburg. In his career he was in the four - kayak once Olympic champion, world champion six times and twice silver medalist at the Olympic Games. In addition, Mark Zabel won in 2005, 20 km long surf ski race in the Baltic Sea Challenge in Rerik.

In 2005, he ended his career as an active athlete. He is now working as a regional trainer in the country Canoe Association of Saxony -Anhalt.
