Mark Zbikowski

Mark Zbikowski ( born March 21, 1956 in Detroit ) was one of the longest operating software developer at Microsoft. During his tenure at Microsoft from 1981 to June 2006, he has been involved in the development of MS- DOS, OS / 2, the set project Cairo and Windows NT.

He was the developer of the DOS executable file format. His initials (MZ ) than the beginning of the file header (header ) in each MS -DOS, and Windows OS/2- program (EXE file) immortalized; they are replaced by others, the program is no longer operable. Also important contributions to the Installable File System ( IFS) within OS / 2 come from him.
