Market East Station

The Market East Station is an underground passenger station for regional transport in the city center of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located on the corner of Filbert and 12th Street. The station was built along with the Center City Commuter Connection and officially opened on 12 November 1984.

The station has two central platforms at four electrified tracks, which run in the second depth level in west-east direction. It is a distribution level, which extends over the adjacent department stores and office buildings. The outputs of the street lie on the ground floors of surrounding office buildings.

The station is equipped with 12,675 newcomers per day behind the Suburban station of the second- busiest passenger station in downtown Philadelphia.
