Marko Asmer

Marko Asmer ( born July 30, 1984 in Tallinn) is an Estonian racing driver. In 2007 he won the British Formula 3 Championship and played the first tests in Formula 1, making him the first Estonian racer in the highest motor sport category. In 2008, he was obliged F1 team as a test driver of the BMW Sauber. Since the fourth race weekend at Magny Cours Asmer goes for the team Fisichella Motor Sport in the GP2 series at the start.

Asmers father is a former racing driver and five-time Soviet champion racing Toivo Asmer who was also Minister of the Interior of Estonia between 1999 and 2003.
