Marko Klok

Marko Klok ( born March 14, 1968 in Monnickendam ) is a former Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player. He was European champion in the sand and took part in two Olympic tournaments in indoor volleyball.

Career

Klok began his career in indoor volleyball at Martinus Amstelveen, where he in 1986 and 1987 in a row won the league and cup double twice. With the Dutch national team in 1992, he took part in Barcelona at the Olympic tournament and won after a 0-3 in the final against Brazil, the silver medal. Then played Klok 1992 to 1994 in Italy, before returning for a season to Amstelveen. 1995 in Saint -Quay- Portrieux he was with Michiel van der Kuip with a victory in the final against the Czech duo Dzavoronok / Fikar European champions in beach volleyball. As indoor volleyball players, he moved to VfB Friedrichshafen. 1997 signed him the Moers SC for one year. In the 1998/1999 season he won with Noliko Maaseik the Belgian duo and the Supercup. A year later he was Italian champion in Rome. In 2003 he returned to his homeland. In his second at the Olympics in Athens in 2004, the Dutch national team already retired from in the first round. With Ortec Rotterdam Nesselande be secured Klok 2005, the Dutch and the double Supercup. In 2006 he became Dutch champion again. In the following season Klok played in Russia in Fakel Novy Urengoy and won here the European Challenge Cup. His active career was Klok finish in Cyprus. Since 2011, Klok coach of the Belgian giants VC Euphony Asse- Lennik.
