Marko Matvere

Marko Matvere ( born February 4, 1968 in Pärnu ) is an Estonian actor and singer.

Life and work

Marko Matvere completed his studies at the Tallinn Conservatory in 1990 (now the Estonian Music and Theatre Academy ) from. He then worked at the renowned ensemble Tallinn City Theatre ( Tallinna Linnateater ). In addition to his acting career at the theater Matvere has appeared in numerous films and television series Estonian and sings (including Les Misérables, Dance of the Vampires and Miss Saigon ) in musicals. Matvere also staged several musicals themselves (including Chicago) as well as the opera Carmen in the theater end position in Pärnu. Together with Jaan Tätte he interacts with self-written pieces on as songwriter.

2002 moderated Matvere together with the Estonian opera singer Annely Peebo the Euro Vision Song Contest in Tallinn.

In 1992 Marko Matvere the first prize in the Young Actor Award at the International Theatre Festival in Toruń, 1996 the price of the Estonian Theatre Association as well as 1995, 1996, 1998 and 1999, the price of the Tallinn City Theatre for Best Actor. The Ants Lauter Prize he was awarded in 1996.
