Marko Tomas

Marko Tomas (born 3 January 1985 in Koprivnica, SR Croatia) is a Croatian professional basketball player. He plays mostly on the position of the shooting guards, but can also be used as a small forward.

Career

The 2.01 meter tall Marko Tomas began his career in his hometown, in the youth of KK Radnik - Križevci, and moved early in the state capital to KK Zagreb. 2001, only 16 years, he made his debut in the first squad. Attentive to him finally was in the 2004/05 season when he reached in the Adriatic league average of 19.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. In the summer of 2005 he undertook at the time by Bozidar Maljković coached Real Madrid, where, although he bribed as defensive strong player, but offensively could not match his performance in Croatia. His first track he celebrated in the 2006/07 season, when he won the ULEB Cup and the championship with the Spaniards. To give the young Croatians more match practice to Real Madrid in 2007 decided to borrow him for a year at the Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada Spanish side. Due to his good performances he then returned to Brussels residents. In summer 2009 Tomas moved back to his home to Cibona Zagreb. In summer 2010, he joined the club Fenerbahce Ulker tradition and signed for two years. In summer 2012, he moved to Cedevita Zagreb.

National

Having already played in various youth national teams of Croatia and won the U18 selection, the 2002 European Championships, close up of the Croatian Men's National Team he participated in the European Basketball Championship in 2005 and 2007, in part, the 2008 Olympic Games, the World Cup 2010 and the European Championship finals in part 2011.
