Markus Daun

Markus Daun (born 10 September 1980 in Eschweiler ) is a former German football player.

Daun began playing football at FC Germania Dürwiß before joining 04 Leverkusen youth department of Bayer. With the amateur team of Bayer, he was in season 2000/ 01 Master of the Oberliga Nordrhein, and down was with 23 goals while top scorer in the league before Giovanni Federico. From Leverkusen, he joined in 2001 initially on loan to Alemannia Aachen and Werder Bremen in 2002. After he had played another 27 games in the first year, he came in Bremen Championship 2004 in competition with the foreign star forwards only to six inserts that remained for him scoreless. Then he moved after the season 1 FC Nuremberg, where he injured rarely was used. From the 2006/07 season played down for MSV Duisburg, with which he rose to the 2007/08 season from the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1st Bundesliga. At the latest with the crucial 2-0 in the last match against the eventual Regional relegated Rot-Weiss Essen on 20 May 2007, Markus Daun had played in the heart of Duisburg fans. In July 2008, Daun moved back to his former club Alemannia Aachen, where he was awarded a three -year contract. In his first year he was indeed used regularly, but could not play in the starting eleven themselves. On 21 Matchday he saved with an emergency brake at the last minute the draw against FC Ingolstadt. Worse than the red card, however, was that he sustained in the action an internal ligament tear and a meniscus injury. Only in the last two days on 17 and 24 May 2009 he was able to complete two brief appearances for the Alemanni again. His knee problems but he carried over to the next season and after matchday 11 of the NRW-Liga for the first time he could run up again for the second team until September 26, 2009, but had already changed again after 62 minutes, he decided to be knee surgery. By the end of his contract, he fought to return to professional football, but had to finish with 30 years of his career.

Down is known for its commitment and its technical refinements. He was U-21 national team and also had five appearances in the team in 2006, in which he also achieved a goal.
