Markus Dieckmann

Markus Dieckmann ( born January 7, 1976 in Bonn ) is a German former volleyball player, coach and active businessman.

Career

The 1.89 m wide Dieckmann played since the early 1990s, beach volleyball, beginning with his twin brother Christoph Dieckmann, from 2001 to 2006 Jonas Recker man. With Recker man he was twice European champion and twice a German master. 2006 Markus Dieckmann withdrew due to injury from active competitive sports and then coached at first his brother and the women's team Rieke Brink - Abeler / Hella Jurich. From 2007 to 2009 he headed the Dieckmann Beach School in Lower Kassel.

Since then he belongs to the coaching staff of the Beach Volleyball World Champion and - Olympic champions Julius Brink / Jonas Recker man.

His main job is as a managing director and head of marketing in a sporting goods company operates (Ball Sports Direct).

Private

Markus Dieckmann is a son of the former mayor of Bonn Bärbel Dieckmann ( SPD) and former NRW Justice and Finance Jochen Dieckmann ( SPD). Since 2004, he is married to the former beach volleyball player Maike Friedrichsen and has two children.
