Markus Janka

Markus Janka ( born March 21, 1980 in Wolfratshausen ) is a German professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga since April 2010.

Career

Janka spent his time as a junior player at TuS Geretsried, where he was also in the first team and the German U-20 youth team came into use at the Junior B World Cup 2000 from the 1998/99 season. For the 2000/01 season the goalkeeper moved to the DEL for the Schwenningen Wild Wings in which he came to 31 missions in this and the following season. In the Ice Hockey World Championship 2002, he was also in the Germany squad. In the summer of 2002, the Left Catcher joined the Kassel Huskies. There he was allowed to play with a mining license at the same time in the 2nd Bundesliga at the polar bear Regensburg. By the following summer, however, Janka signed a contract with the Krefeld Penguins, where he also played with a mining license at the same time in the 2nd Bundesliga at EV Duisburg.

The following season, 2004/05 Goalie remained in Krefeld and ran at the same time, again equipped with a mining license, in the 2nd Bundesliga for the EV Duisburg and the wolves Freiburg. In summer 2005 Markus Janka changed for the following two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga to his former employer polar bears Regensburg. In the season 2007/ 08 he was in the squad of the Straubing Tigers. In 2010 he moved to ERC Ingolstadt.
