Markus Kaya
Markus Kaya ( born October 20, 1979 in Berlin ) is a German footballer (midfielder ) Aramaic descent ( from the Tur Abdin ). Since 2011 he plays for the SSVg Velbert.
Career
Kaya started with the game of football in the youth departments of the Berlin clubs Kickers in 1900, Hertha Zehlendorf and Tennis Borussia. In 1996, Kaya as A -teenager to the precinct club Schalke 04 and moved in 1998 to the senior squad. On the final day of the 1998/99 season he was the away match against TSV 1860 München his only previous league use. He came on in the 63rd minute for Jiri Nemec, Schalke won the match 5-4. When Kaya could not prevail in the professional squad in the following season, he was awarded during the winter break for half a year to the regional league team Rot-Weiss Essen to collect there match practice.
Since Schalke refrained from a further obligation of Kaya, he was engaged by Rot-Weiss Essen for the season 2000/ 01. Already at the beginning of the season suffered a broken fibula Kaya, which he almost failed the entire season so far. In his second season at RWE Kaya came only sporadically used, one reason was his public criticism of coach Klaus mountains, which meant that he was dropped from the squad for some time. Rot-Weiss Essen renewed in 2002 the contract with Kaya no more and he found ultimately in the SSVg Velbert a new club.
With the Oberliga he won the 2003 and the 2006 ARAG Cup and reached the fourth division in 2003 the second round of the DFB Cup after the team had the second division 1 FSV Mainz turned off in the first round 05 on penalties. 2003 won the league championship with Kaya also Velbert. Since Velbert, however, had applied for a license for the Regional, the club remained in the top league. In September 2006, Kaya, the captain of the Velberter was already for a long time to dissolve his contract for the winter break and moved on to league rivals Rot-Weiß Oberhausen left. He succeeded coach Hans -Günter Bruns, who had left Velbert in the summer in Oberhausen. Kaya, who was described by experts as " the best player in the Oberliga Nordrhein ", managed by RWO 2007 and 2008 direct walkover from the Oberliga Nordrhein about the Regionalliga Nord in the Second Bundesliga. In the Regionalliga season 2007/08 Kaya definitively established in Oberhausen as a " key player " and scored eleven goals, including two that he had shot in a 4-1 away win against Rot -Weiss Essen on the opening day. So Kaya was the highest-scoring midfielder in the Regionalliga Nord. On the second matchday of the 2008/09 season it was the midfielder who scored the first Oberhausen Zweitligator for four years with a direct free-kick. 2011 RWO dismounted in the 3rd league and Markus Kaya left the club; he moved back to SSVg Velbert in the NRW-Liga.
Goal of the Month
Kaya's 50 -yard strike to end predetermining 2-0 (final score 4-1 ) on 18 May 2008 with the SV Babelsberg 03 was chosen by viewers of ARD sports show on the goal of the month of May. This away win on matchday 36 of the Regional League West cemented red -Weiß Oberhausen second place two weeks later rose behind Rot Weiss Ahlen in the Second Bundesliga, and so made the walkthrough from the fourth to the second division.
