Markus Liebherr

Markus Liebherr ( born March 30, 1948 in Germany, home right in bull; † 10 August 2010) was a Swiss businessman and owner of which he founded in 1994 MALI International AG. He was one of five children of Hans Liebherr, the founder of the Construction Group Liebherr.

Life

Markus Liebherr studied engineering and even then had an increased interest in specialized agricultural vehicles. He stopped in the 1980s as his brothers Hubert, Willi and his sister Isolde same shares at the then Liebherr Holding.

When the Liebherr Group moved its headquarters to Bulle in the Canton of Fribourg, he gave back his shares in the company and in 1994 founded the MALI group on the Heinrichsburg at Eberhardzell in the district of Biberach in Upper Swabia, which bears the Schlüter - bear in the logo.

After the Bavarian tractor producer Anton Schlüter München its production ceased in the early 1990s, Mali has developed an unofficial successor. Liebherr had previously provided some Schlüter tractors with Liebherr engines. Markus Liebherr died on the night of 10 August 2010 at the age of 62 years.

MALI International

The MALI group has its focus on the development and market introduction of products of the off-road area.
