Markus Lotter

Markus Lotter ( born September 28, 1970) is a German journalist and former football player.

Career

Markus Lotter played in his youth for his local club DJK Ensdorf and for the first FC Amberg. After two years at the SSV Jahn Regensburg in Bavaria League 1993, he moved to SpVgg Fürth. With the Fürth he qualified in 1994 for the Regionalliga Süd in 1997 and managed to move up to the 2nd Bundesliga. There he came in the 1997/98 season on 26 missions. For the 1998/99 season he moved to FC St. Pauli and rose with this in the 2000 /01 season in the Bundesliga on. Here however, he had an injury just one use: On August 18, 2001, the 0-2 defeat at Bayern Munich. The FC St. Pauli rose again in the same season in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the season 2002/ 03 he came in the second division again on 13 missions, but the FC St. Pauli rose at the end of the season even from the Regionalliga.

Lotter still scroll from one season to the amateur club SC Köpenick and left it there end his career.

Today Lotter lives in Berlin and works as a journalist. He heads the department at the Berlin newspaper Sport.
