Markus Peintner

Markus Peintner ( born December 17, 1980 in Vienna) is an Austrian ice hockey player who plays for the EC VSV in the Austrian Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Peintner began his career as a teenager in the EHC Lustenau, at age 19, he spent a season for VEU Feldkirch. After that, he played four years for the EHC Black Wings Linz, before joining the Vienna Capitals. After just one season in Vienna, he joined the EC VSV, where he played for four years. Since the 2009/10 season Peintner plays for the Graz 99ers. Peintner scored in 479 Bundesliga games 345 points and collected 568 penalty minutes. He could win with three different teams to the Austrian championship.

Even in the national team he is an integral part for years. In the last six world championships, he was always at the Austrian squad, he also took part in five World Junior Championships.
