Markus Prock

Markus Prock ( born June 22, 1964 in Innsbruck ) is a former Austrian luger.

Life

Between 1981 and 2002 he won ten times the overall World Cup in luge and was twice world champion. Prock took three medals at the Olympic Games. 1992 Albertville and 1994 Lillehammer he won the silver medal. At the end of his career he won in 2002 in Salt Lake City, the bronze medal. He is the most successful Austrian luger at all.

His biggest competitor to his playing days was Georg Hackl, the Prock at the Olympic Games could never leave behind.

Since 1997 he runs his own sports agency in Innsbruck, which he manages, among other Armin Zöggeler, Mario Stecher and Gregor Schlierenzauer, whose uncle he is.

In 2008 Prock participated in the ORF - football show " The Match" part.
