Markus Rosenberg at Ajax Amsterdam

Nils Markus Rosenberg ( born September 27, 1982 in Malmö) is a Swedish footballer who is mainly used in the storm and is currently under contract with the Swedish first division club Malmö FF.

Career

In the club

Malmo FF / Halmstad BK

Markus Rosenberg played in the youth of Malmo FF, the same youth team as Zlatan Ibrahimović, but did not succeed in establishing itself in the professional team of Malmö FF. Therefore, he was awarded to the league rivals Halmstad BK in the calendar year 2004. He was successful there and brought it to 14 goals in 26 games. He almost helped by Halmstad BK of the Swedish Championship. In the last game of the season against IFK Göteborg, he supported Dusan Djuric 1-0, but was replaced due to injury at half-time. In the second half Gothenburg scored the 1:1, almost simultaneously succeeded Malmö FF 1-0 against IF Elfsborg and was only one point ahead of the Swedish championship against Halmstad BK. This ended his loan and in calendar year 2005, he again played for half a year at Malmö FF.

Ajax Amsterdam

For the season 2005/ 06 he spent 5.3 million euros from Malmo FF to the Dutch tradition club Ajax Amsterdam. Here was found the striker in a 4 -3- 3 system, in which he often allowed to storm together with Klaas -Jan Huntelaar and Mauro Rosales, along very well and usually occupied the left winger. Rosenberg graduated in his first season, a total of 31 league matches and scored twelve hits. Under the new coach Henk ten Cate, he found himself in the first round of the 2006/07 season, where he remained in 9 missions without scoring, mostly on the bench again.

SV Werder Bremen / Racing Santander

During the winter break 2006/ 07 Rosenberg moved to Werder Bremen. His first Bundesliga goal he scored on 11 March 2007 in a 1-1 draw in the away game at Bayern Munich with the back of the head. On 6 May 2007, he met the 4-1 against Hertha BSC three times and thus scored his first hat-trick unclean for Werder Bremen. Overall, Rosenberg came in his first Bundesliga season with 14 inserts on eight goals, which he scored five substitute appearances. He was most effective Joker in the league. Because of its good services, he was to the fans soon a crowd favorite and received from them the nickname " Rosi". When choosing Player of the Month May 2007, he finished second. With 14 goals in league play mode it was in season 2007/ 08 unerring art Werder player and with the 1-0 in the second round against Hertha BSC also the "fastest scorer " this season.

Gameday On the 27th of the season 2009/10 he was exiled at the home game against VfL Bochum in the stands for a " subterranean power ".

On 24 August 2010, he was, however, in the second leg of the play-off round of the Champions League 2010/11 surprisingly substitute against Sampdoria for the injured Sandro Wagner and scored in stoppage time to score, the Werder Bremen first secured the extension and by a another goal from Claudio Pizarro the club allowed a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

August 31, 2010 Markus Rosenberg extended his contract by one year at Werder Bremen, but has been borrowed for the season 2010/ 11 at Racing Santander. There, he played 33 games and had nine -goal leading marksman league of his team. Due to the benefits shown he could return to the Bundesliga team Werder Bremen in the next season. His first competitive goal after his return Scored Rosenberg on July 30, 2011 in the first round of the DFB - Pokal 2011/12 to the intermediate 1-0. On the first day of the Bundesliga he played through and scored both goals in the 2-0 victory against 1 FC Kaiserslautern. 29 October 2011 (11th Round ), he played against FSV Mainz 05 his 100th Bundesliga game for Werder Bremen.

The 30 June 2012 expiring contract with Werder Bremen was not renewed.

West Bromwich Albion

During the summer break in 2012 Rosenberg joined free transfer to the Premier League for West Bromwich Albion. He signed a three-year contract until 30 June 2015 and received the shirt number eight. Here however, he had to contend with well-known competitors such as Shane Long, Romelu Lukaku or Scott Sinclair, which is why the Swede was never on the role of a supplementary player also.

Return to Malmö

On February 1, 2014 Rosenberg returned to his youth club Malmö FF.

National

Rosenberg is part of the contingent of the Swedish national team, with which he participated in the 2006 World Cup ( without insert), the Euro 2008 and Euro 2012. On the way to the European Championship 2008, he was one of the actors involved in a scandalous game. On 2 June 2007 he was fouled in the European Championship qualifier against Denmark shortly before the end of Christian Poulsen. After Herbert Fandel Poulsen showed the red card and the Swedes zusprach a penalty kick, this was attacked by a Danish followers. This led to a match being abandoned. In retrospect, the UEFA evaluated the game 3-0 for the Swedes.

Play

Rosenberg is both, strong in the air and suitable for his running strength especially for a casual one counter attacks. As Rosenberg's weaknesses, the chance recovery and the rest are in the conclusion.

Private

Markus Rosenberg has since April 14, 2010 with his girlfriend, a daughter.
