Markus Seelaus

Markus Seelaus (born 16 February 1987) is an Austrian football player.

Life and career

Seelaus began his career at AC Innsbruck. After good performances, he followed the call from Vienna and came to the Academy of FK Austria Wien. Later he went back to the Tyrol, where he played in the BNZ Tyrol. In 2004, he came into the squad of FC Wacker Tirol, where he gave his debut in the Bundesliga in 2005. In the seasons 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07 he was awarded respectively to the SV Wörgl or to the WSG Swarovski Wattens.

In 2007 he returned to the Innsbruckern and completed in the past autumn 2007 season 12 games for the Tyrolean. International Seelaus played three times for Austria's U -20 team. In the preparatory phase to the back half kick-off the 2007/08 season, the midfielder broke the big toe and ultimately had to descend into the First League accept. In January 2009 his contract was dissolved. In summer 2009, he joined the DAC Dunajská Streda in Slovakia.
