Markus Vogel

Markus Vogel ( born January 12, 1984 in Stans ) is a Swiss ski racer. His specialist discipline is the slalom.

Biography

Living in Beckenried bird completed an apprenticeship as an electrician. At the age of three years he was on skis for the first time. In 2002, he was inducted into the junior national team of the Swiss Ski Federation Swiss-Ski, two years later, he stepped over to the C - squad. From 2008 he was in the B-Team, 2011, he climbed into the A-Team on 2012 but again in the B- Squad from.

His first international FIS race denied bird in December 1999. In the European Cup, he went for the first time in January 2003 at the start, the first victory in this series he succeeded in slalom in Garmisch -Partenkirchen February 17, 2008. His debut in the World Cup Skiing had bird 6 January 2008 in the slalom in Adelboden. In the first eight races of birds never reached the goal; only in his ninth World Cup race, the slalom in Kitzbuehel January 25, 2009, he was ranked 19 and took the first World Cup points.
