Marla Glen

Marla Glen ( born January 3, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American singer. Since 1998 she lives in Germany.

Artistic work

Marla Glen's music combines elements of blues, soul, jazz, rock ' n ' roll and African ethnic music and is dominated by her smoky voice. In appearances, she emphasizes her masculine appearance through their clothing ( pinstripe suit, man's hat, tie and cigar ).

Marla Glen conquered the European music market with her album This Is Marla Glen of 1993. Individual songs by Marla Glen were released for TV and cinema spots, such as written by her song Believer 1995 as an advert for the clothing company C & A and 2000/2001 their cover version the James Brown song It's a Man's World in the commercial for the men's fragrance Tabac.

Private life

On 2 July 2004, it declined in Heilbronn a lesbian partnership with Sabrina Conley, but from which they separated again.
