Marleen Renders
Marleen Renders ( born December 24, 1968 in Diest ) is a Belgian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon distance.
In 1997, she was second in the Rotterdam Marathon, and in 1998 she won the Berlin Marathon. 2000 and 2002 she won the Paris Marathon, the second time with the current Belgian record of 2:23:05.
In 2003, she finished fourth at the Hamburg Marathon, and in 2005 she won the Frankfurt Marathon second place.
14 of the 16 fastest marathon times of Belgian runners go to their account. Also on other distances it was successful. Five times improved the Belgian record in the 10,000 -meter run on today's valid mark of 31:03:60, and also holds the national records in the 10 - km road race ( 31:23 ) and in the half marathon ( 1:08:56 ).
