Marlene Sinnig

Marlene Sinnig ( born December 11, 1984 in Rostock ) is a German rower.

Career

Marlene Sinnig began her athletic career at the ORC Rostock and later moved to Crefelder RC, it is in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr.

In 2002, she was with the German rollercoaster second in the Junior World Championships. 2003, the silver medal was followed in four without coxswain at the U23 World Regatta. In 2005, she participated with the German roller at the World Cup, finishing at the World Championships in sixth place. In 2006 she won with the aft the Rowing World Cup in Munich, at the World Championships in Eton, they stepped up to the uncontrolled four, finishing in sixth place. In 2007, she returned to the eighth and finished fifth at the World Championships Regatta; at the European Championships 2007, she won the silver medal with the eighth. The Olympic season 2008 she started in the aft, but was ultimately not nominated for the Olympic Games.

Since 2009 Marlene Sinnig rowing together with Kerstin Hartmann two without coxswain, the two won from 2009 to 2011 and the German title. International occupied the two fourth place at the 2009 World Championships, won silver at the European Championships in 2010 and occupied the sixth place at the World Championships in 2010. 2011 missed both the A- finals at the 2011 World Championships and as a tithe placed the direct Olympic qualification for 2012. A year later, at the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju they finished in eighth place, at the rowing championship in 2013 in Seville, they took second place.
