Marlin Stutzman

Marlin Stutzman Andrew ( born August 31, 1976 in Sturgis, St. Joseph County, Michigan) is an American politician. Since 2010 he represents the state of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Marlin Stutzman attended the Lake Area Christian High School in Sturgis and then the Trine University in Angola ( Indiana). He finished his education at Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville. In the following years he worked as a farmer and businessman. He runs the company Stutzman Farms Trucking. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party.

Between 2002 and 2008 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Indiana; in the years 2009 and 2010 he was a member of the State Senate. In 2010, he unsuccessfully sought to Nomierung for election to the U.S. Senate, where he finished second behind the eventual election winner Dan Coats in the Primary. Following the resignation of Congressman Mark Souder Stutzman was in the due election for the third seat of Indiana as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on November 2, 2010. At the same time he was elected for the period beginning on January 3, 2011 legislative session in Congress; He sat down beside it with 63 percent of the vote clearly against the Democrats by Thomas Hayhurst. Stutzman is a member of the Agriculture Committee, the Budget Committee and the Veterans Committee and in four sub-committees.

With his wife, Marlin Stutzman Payton has two children.
