Marquivillers

Marquivillers ( Picard: Marquivilé ) is a northern French village with 154 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 11 km north-east of Montdidier far from the road department D68 and the D133 road department in the landscape Santerre. The municipal area extends north to the Avre.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
