Marriage certificate

The marriage certificate is the official proof of the existence or the end of a marriage.

The marriage certificate (§ 57 PStG ) belongs to the civil status documents and triggered by a personal status law reform, as of 1 January 2009, the previous marriage certificate from.

The marriage shall be created by the registrar from the entries in the marriage register and notarized (Signature, seal ). In parts of the marriage certificate replaces tasks of the former family register excerpt.
