Marryoke is a word brand name that has been submitted for registration at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.

Description

The producer of a Marryoke produces a special form of a music video. Here, participants in a wedding ceremony to be filmed dancing to a song of their choice and sing. Filming usually take place on the day of the wedding or the wedding shower. After receiving the individual sequences, they are edited together by a video editing software, that it looks as if the participants actually sing themselves.

The portmanteau word Marryoke contains parts of " Marrying " and " karaoke " and thus does not describe what actually lies behind it. In fact, no one even needs to sing. The film is cut so that original sound and video recordings are lippensychron. Marryoke is used to entertain guests at wedding receptions. The trend towards this art form was established in 2009 in the UK and boomed in 2011 in the U.S., as a video of " Joya and Emre " to The Time ( Dirty Bit ) by The Black Eyed Peas spread virally through Youtube.
