Marryoke is a word brand name that has been submitted for registration at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.

Description

The producer of a Marryoke produces a special form of a music video. Here, participants in a wedding ceremony to be filmed dancing to a song of their choice and sing. Filming usually take place on the day of the wedding or the wedding shower. After receiving the individual sequences, they are edited together by a video editing software, that it looks as if the participants actually sing themselves.

The portmanteau word Marryoke contains parts of " Marrying " and " karaoke " and thus does not describe what actually lies behind it. In fact, no one even needs to sing.
