Marsanne, Drôme

Marsanne is a commune of 1,180 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes. It belongs to the arrondissement of Nyons and is the capital of the canton of Marsanne.

Attractions

Other attractions in the municipality include the ruins of the castle from the 11th century and the street rue du Comte de Poitiers with many buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Another attraction is the Romanesque church of Saint -Félix, which was built in the late 12th century and extended in the 15th century. Since July 13, 1926, she is a listed building. In 1995 the church was restored.

The environment in which mainly wine production is called Pays de Marsanne. Known as the place is named after the grape variety Marsanne.
